I just got back from Stitch- Fashion Show and Renegade Craft Fair. This is another reason why I am happy to be in Austin. Forget Music Capital, think Indie Craft DIY Central.
I will have more to say on the event some other time. The one big thing that I walked out of there with was that people out there are doing this. They are doing it full time. Some people are making money, some aren’t. But they are out there. They are out there making their mark.
“A life lived in fear is a life half lived.” One of these days I will be able to walk away from the safe desk job, and start living my life.
That show and the craft bazaar were super neat. I know that there is better stuff out there too. The Craft Mafia girls that put that show on are really out-doing themselves each year. Your stuff is super cool Jen. I hope to see you on the runway one day.
