My Yenta gave me full creativity rights when it came to upcycling her t-shirt.
I decided the shirt was too orange. Most of it had to go away. I kept the front part with the silk screening and appliqued it to the front. “ As much as I didn’t like the orange, I decided to use a small piece to reverse applique an om symbol on the back.
I had her try it on and decided to keep the v-neck but make it a racer back. The shirt is super streamlined now (I hope it still fits. If it doesn’t, I can add racing stripes down the side.)
