To some people “home sewer” is the new four letter word. Claire posted this on her blog and this is all I have to say…
I am a home sewer. I sew… in my home… I make the majority of my clothes. I use PATTERNS from the store (although I may or may not use all of the parts or follow the instructions). I just refused to be trapped in the rut of traditional “mamaw” crafter. I think that I would refer to my self as a renegade seamstress or perhaps a reconstructress.
That’s right. With my fabric purchased from the sale bins at Hancock and Joann’s. With my McCalls, Simplicity, and sometimes Vogue Patterns. With my half price notions. With my Singer 2638. I sew at home.
