Classes

I am back in the classroom as of Summer 2013.  In an effort to accommodate as many seamsters as possible I will try and have classes on both the north and south side of town when possible.

gqlogoGarments for Quilters is a series designed for people who have been using a sewing machine to quilt, but haven’t tackled making garments for themselves.  Most classes on beginning garment construction are geared towards people new to sewing.  The series will focus on reading/interpreting patterns, making clothes that fit, fabric selection, and the parts of your sewing machine you haven’t used yet.

I’ve chosen the 1025 Laurel pattern by Colette to teach from.  It’s Summer, so why not start with a simple sundress that can be made in cotton to start out with then we will move on to making it with dressier fabric.Classes will be at remnants:fiber[culture] (North) and A Quilter’s Folly (South) throughout the Summer.  Check the calendar for dates.
